| 5/9/2007 : DALLAS, May 8, 2007 – HomeTeam Pest Defense has acquired the
assets of the Las Vegas, Nevada business operation of Arrow Exterminators, Inc.
In return, HomeTeam Pest Defense sold the assets of its Dalton, Georgia
operations to Arrow. This marks the 29th acquisition within the last three years
for HomeTeam.
"Las Vegas was attractive to us because it increases our presence in a
strong home building market and fits our strategic objective of purchasing
companies for tuck-in capabilities in high-growth areas," says Rob Swartz,
Chairman and CEO at HomeTeam.
For the past 10 years, HomeTeam has embarked on a solid acquisition
campaign. HomeTeam is now the third largest residential pest control company in
the U.S. and the largest serving home builders. In addition to pest control and
termite protection services, HomeTeam sells, installs and services the
Taexx® built-in pest control system, an innovative network of small
distribution lines installed in designated walls during home construction. These
lines are perforated and linked to patented, locked service ports on the
exterior of the home, so professional HomeTeam service technicians can
distribute pest control materials from the outside.
As part of the agreement, Las Vegas Arrow employees were offered positions
with HomeTeam and the Dalton HomeTeam employees were offered positions with
Arrow Exterminators. |

HomeTeam Pest Defense celebrates 10th anniversary,
launches Taexx™ built-in pest control system
DALLAS, November 2006 – HomeTeam Pest Defense, which was
established 10 years ago and is now the third largest residential pest control
company in the U.S., is launching its newly branded built-in pest control
system, now called Taexx™. "The name change simply helps us further distinguish
ourselves in the marketplace. The name is easier for new home buyers and home
builders to recognize and remember," said Rob Swartz, Chairman and CEO of
HomeTeam Pest Defense.
"We install a network of small distribution lines in designated walls during
home construction," said Swartz. "We work with home builders to meet their
particular needs based on exterior finishes, foundation design and insulation
type. These distribution lines are linked to locked service ports on the
exterior of the home, so our service technicians can distribute pest control
materials inside the walls from outside of the home."
"The quality and perceived value among home buyers makes it a great time in
the building cycle for a home builder to add this feature to their homes," said
Keith Chambers, Vice President of Builder Sales.
Swartz said the Taexx system maximizes the effectiveness of the pest control
materials because they're not exposed to sunlight, and it avoids messy stains
and clean-ups. "Applying the materials inside the walls means less exposure to
family, pets and living areas," he said. "What's more, after the initial
treatment, you don't even have to be home to receive service."
The innovative, patented Taexx system targets household pests where they live
– inside the walls of a home.
